On 22nd February, 2024, we  had the incredible honor of hosting Rhino Simon (CEO of Helping Rhinos), Olivia (Helping Rhinos' social media marketer), and James Mwenda (former rhino caretaker at Ol Pejeta Conservancy and founder of Jemu Expeditions) at our home. Their visit was not just a moment of friendship and camaraderie but also a profound exchange of ideas and experiences related to rhino conservation.

Rhino Simon: As the CEO of Helping Rhinos, Simon has been a steadfast advocate for the protection and preservation of rhinos worldwide. His passion and commitment to conservation are truly inspiring. During the visit, Simon shared insights into the ongoing projects at Helping Rhinos and discussed the importance of collaboration in tackling wildlife challenges.

Olivia: Representing Helping Rhinos as their social media marketer, Olivia plays a vital role in raising awareness and engaging global audiences in rhino conservation efforts. Her creativity and dedication help bridge the gap between conservation initiatives and public support. Olivia shared stories of impactful campaigns and how social media has become a powerful tool in rallying people behind the cause.

James Mwenda: Known as one of the last caretakers of Sudan, the last male northern white rhino, James Mwenda’s passion for wildlife conservation runs deep. After his time at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, James founded Jemu Expeditions to inspire others to connect with nature. During the visit, he shared his journey from caring for the iconic rhinos to guiding people on expeditions that foster a deeper appreciation for wildlife.

The visit was filled with laughter, thoughtful discussions, and a strong sense of purpose. It was uplifting to see like-minded individuals coming together, united by the mission to save rhinos from extinction. We talked about future projects, shared personal stories, and reflected on the progress made so far.

Their visit reinforced our belief that rhino conservation is not just a responsibility but a collective effort that requires passion, dedication, and unity. We are grateful for their time and commitment, and we look forward to continuing our work together to protect these magnificent animals.
